Shimawua Dominic B.D, M.A, M.Sc, Ph.D
Associate Professor

Rev. Fr. Dr. Dominic Shimawua is an Associate Professor of Public Administration. He teaches also in Religious Studies. He hails from Vandeikya Local government of Benue State. He is a priest of the Catholic Diocese of Makurdi.

He has a Diploma in Religious atudies,University of Ibadan, Cretificate in communication St. Augustine’s Major Seminary Jos, Bachelor of Divinity(B.D), Pontifical Urbanian  university Rome, master of science(M.Sc) Public Administration, Master of science Arts (M.A) Religious Studies, Benue State University, Makurdi PhD Public Administration Irish university, London, PhD Biblical studies, New Testament, Benue State University Makurdi.

Fr. Dr. Dominic Shimawua taught briefly at St. James Junior Seminary, Aliade. Principal of St. Joseph and Mary Secondary School Korinya, Benue State. Lectured at Benue State University, Makurdi. A full time lecturer of St. Thomas Aquinas Major Seminary also in Makurdi, Benue State.

Fr. Shimawua is a member, Research and Academic Professionalism. Fellow, Institute of Management Consultants (IMC) Nigeria. Certified Management Consultant (CMC). Fellow, Institute of Professional Managers and Administrators of Nigeria, Fellow, African Institute of Strategic Managers (AISM).

Apart from his routine teaching he holds various positions in Veritas University Abuja: a one-time Acting Head of Department Public Administration, Veritas University Abuja and Acting Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences.

He was a one-time member, Veritas University Ceremonials Committee. Member, Senate Business Committee. Also a one-time Chairman, Veritas Host Communities relations. Member, Post-Graduate Board and Staff Disciplinary Committee all of Veritas University Abuja.
