Lecturer II

Victor Edet Ebiekpe was educated at the University of Uyo, Uyo, Nigeria, where he received his B. Sc Degree in Applied Chemistry in 2003. In April 2005 he joined Access High Schools, Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria, where he started his career as a science-based subject teacher. He obtained an M. Sc. Degree in Physical Chemistry (Corrosion), in 2010 from University of Calabar, Calabar, Nigeria.

As a man of considerable drive and resourcefulness, he joined the service of the Corrosion and Electrochemistry Research Group, Department of Pure & Applied Chemistry, University of Calabar, in 2009 as a Research Assistant to Dr Peter C. Okafor, where he has supervised both undergraduates and graduates research work. Ebiekpe Victor has presented seminars, attended many conferences and motivational career workshops within the country. He has some publications in internationally refereed journals. He is also recognized internationally as a co-author of articles on CORROSION. Mr Ebiekpe is now a Lecturer II in the Department of Pure & Applied Chemistry, VERITAS University, Abuja. His lectures to undergraduate students span through the various areas of Physical/Industrial Chemistry, including Electrochemistry, Quantum Chemistry, Thermodynamics, Chemical Kinetics Soaps and Synthetic detergents, Paints and Adhesives, Cements chemistry and Applied Surface & Colloid Chemistry. His research interests include Corrosion of Materials, Modern Corrosion Theory-Principles and Applications.
