Dikedi P. N. BSc, MSc, MRes, MInstP, FGS
Lecturer I

Amidst several years of teaching, Patrick taught Mathematics and Physics in Government Secondary School (GSS) Kubwa within 2000 and 2003; within this period, he actively participated in the construction of Physics questions for Nigerian secondary schools in a United Nations Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (UNESCO) program organized by Education Sector Analysis (ESA) in Nigeria. In April 2002, he went through training on Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection organized by Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NNRA) and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Abuja. In 2003, he sprung up wisdom Institute, a solution center for Mathematics, which later transmuted to Wisdom Science center. He departed for the United Kingdom in 2006

In January 3, 2008, in the course of research in Bio, Nano and X-ray Photonics at King’s College London (KCL), Patrick commenced work as an Examination Invigilator. He was one of the KCL Delegates to the Tip Enhanced Raman and Fluorescence Spectroscopy Meeting, which held three weeks later at The National Physical Laboratory (NPL) in Teddington, Middlesex. In August the same year, he attended summer school on Applications of Synchrotron Radiation Techniques in Earth Science (Beam-line Training) held at St. Hilda’s College, University of Oxford. Thereafter in September, he was trained on COMSOL 3.4 Multiphysics software in London. Furthermore, in 2010, Fugro Engineering Services Limited in Wallingford trained him on Cone Penetration Testing (CPT).

In 2010, he arrived back in Abuja working as a Tutor. On June 26, 2013, Patrick was elected Fellow of Geological Society of London (GSL); and has membered with various professional bodies.  Thereafter, in 2014, he worked as Principal at Global International College (GIC), a sixth form college. He later moved to Veritas University, same year, where he lectures and continues to do research on Soft X-ray Microprobes, Micro-Geomorphology, Seismology and Hydro-geophysics. He has held roles like Postgraduate and undergraduate Course Advisers and Seismic Station Operator. He serves on numerous Committee; and has made several scientific presentations in Nigeria, United Kingdom and the United States of America. A few of his abstracts are on National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Astrophysics Data System (ADS), published by American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall meetings of various years. On October 13, 2019, he commenced training on Project Management organized by Global Professional Society UK, held at Good tidings Bible Church International, Abuja.  He has over thirty publications.
