It is envisaged that the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) programme will provide the required level of education, development and training for students to attain their career prospects in any aspect of pharmaceutical practice, such as academia, distribution/supply, industry, national/international administration, hospital and community pharmacy.
In line with extant rules, all admissions into the Pharm. D. programme of Veritas University Abuja must be through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Candidates seeking admission to the Pharm. D. programme must meet the general minimum admission requirements thus:
Admission through University Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)
Candidates with A-Level credits in the three science subjects of Chemistry, Physics/Mathematics and Zoology/Botany/Biology, in addition to the UTME admission requirements may be qualified.
Candidates with other qualifications, such as IJMB, JUPEB or similar certificates considered to be equivalent to A-Level may be eligible.
Candidates with acceptable Pharmacy Technician Diplomas from institutions accredited by the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN), in addition to Ordinary Level requirements of credits in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Mathematics and English Language in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) may be considered.
Candidates with a relevant Bachelor’s Degree, in addition to UTME requirements, may be admitted.
