Veritas University, Abuja plays host to Embassy of the United States of America, on Tuesday 23rd November, 2021. This is part of activities to commemorate the international Education Week (IEW), 2021. It is an annual event that celebrates the benefits and achievements of International Education and exchange programmes across the globe.
This recognizes the critical role of education in building human capital, especially in an era when the crisis of Covid 19 pandemic poses great challenge to international education.
Mr. Peter Burber, of the Public Affairs Section of the Embassy of United States of America, led the delegation to Veritas University, Abuja. While expressing gratitude to the University for the warm reception, asserts the Embassy’s commitment towards offering useful guidance to Nigeria citizens who wish to study in the States. A UK based Education consultancy firm, First Choice Educational Consult, was also in attendance to offer useful guide to students who wish to further their education in the United Kingdom.
The Vice Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Hyacinth Ementa Ichoku, represented by the Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Gabriel Egbe, welcomed the delegations while expressing the readiness of the University to partner USA through its embassy in Nigeria, to promote programmes tailored towards equipping the students to meet the demands of the contemporary global market.
