A delegation of staff from Veritas University Abuja, graced the occasion of the 2021 Epiphany Azinge Foundation Colloquim. The event which held on the 11th of November 2021at the Shehu Musa Yar-Adua Centre Abuja, was titled, ECOWAS and state sovereignty: redefining constitutional parameters of nationhood. It had in attendance, the Director General, Nigerian Institute of Advanced and Legal Studies, Professor, M.T.Laban. Also in attendance were: Ambassador Musa Nuhu of ECOWAS as well as some big wigs in law, academia and members of the society.

The Epiphany Azinge Foundation was founded by Professor Epiphany Azinge, SAN who is a: member of the Board of Trustees of Veritas University, Chairman of the taskforce on the establishment of the Faculty of Law at Veritas, and a full time staff of the faculty, albeit entirely on pro-bono basis. Also in active service to Veritas University Abuja, is his wife, Dr. Mrs. Valerie Azinge, SAN, Vice President of the Epiphany Azinge Foundation.
The delegation was led by Fr. Dr. Anthony Azuwike, HOD, Private and Property Law, Veritas University Abuja. Among the topical issues addressed at the colloquium were, the need to look beyond the many challenges confronting ECOWAS, to the number of benefits that accrue to the Nigerian state as a result of her membership in the ECOWAS. Thus, it was submitted that against popular opinions regarding the future of ECOWAS being bleak, ECOWAS should be strengthened and supported because of the benefits it brings to Nigeria. In all, it was quite a rewarding academic experience.
