Chief Mojisola O Ladipo, (Nee Thomas), Two-term Registrar, University of Ibadan, Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), Member of the National Institute, earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English and a Masters’ Degree in Industrial and Labour Relations from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria in 1972 and 1985 respectively.
Chief Ladipo started her career as an education Officer with the Federal Ministry of Education in 1972 and was a pioneer staff of the Federal Government College in Bukuru, Jos. She joined the services of the University of Ibadan as an Administrative Officer in 1975. She moved to the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) in 1977 as an Administrator but returned to Ibadan in 1982 where she steadily rose through the ranks. She was appointed Registrar of that premier University on 1 January 1997 being the first female to occupy that position.
Having served as Registrar for 10 years, she opted to retire from service at the end of her tenure. She was appointed Visiting Registrar at the National Universities Commission in January 2006 from where she was searched and offered the appointment as Pioneer Registrar of VERITAS University. Chief Ladipo is bringing a wealth of experience to this job. During her stint as Registrar of the University of Ibadan, she was in the forefront of repositioning the Institution in the areas of Institutional advancement, staff development, attitudinal change and digitization of administrative processes. She delivered various papers at national and international educational institutions and Conferences on the management and administration of higher educational institutions and has contributed articles in 2 published books. She was the Chairman of CORNU, the Committee of Registrars of Nigerian Universities from 1998 – 2006. She is an alumnae of the prestigious Lagos Business School and a member of national and international professional bodies. She is listed in the Who is Who in Nigeria (2003 Edition). She assumed duties as pioneer Registrar of VERITAS University on 1 February 2008.
